In this one-day training, participants are introduced to the topic of coaching. It is a basic training and is suitable for aspiring new coaches ,facilitators and team leaders. Together they will explore how best to guide and support teams and enable them to unleash their team potential.
The topics of empathy, communication, team dynamics, as well as understanding roles and using warm-ups and mindset changers are explored in depth in group exercises and role plays. Videos by experts from the Design Factory Global Network and joint reflection complete the training.
Empathy and Active Listening
A strong coach begins with empathy, tuning into the needs and perspectives of each team member. In this segment, participants will practice techniques in active listening and empathetic response, learning how to create an environment where team members feel heard and understood.
Effective Communication for Creative Facilitation
Guiding teams requires clear, engaging communication that empowers participants to share and explore ideas openly. In this part of the workshop, we will explore communication strategies that support creative facilitation, from constructive feedback techniques to non-verbal communication. Through role-play and real-life scenarios, participants will develop strategies for communicating effectively in group settings, enabling them to lead teams confidently through the process.
Understanding Team Dynamics and Role Clarity
Successful coaching hinges on understanding team dynamics and the roles each individual plays within a group. This module dives into the intricacies of team roles, teaching participants how to recognize and leverage individual strengths and create balanced, high-performing teams. Participants will learn how to manage diverse personalities and foster a cooperative team culture, encouraging positive interactions and mutual support.
Warm-ups and Mindset Games for Team Engagement
To foster creativity and prepare teams for collaborative work, this segment focuses on energizing warm-ups and mindset-shifting exercises.Participants will practice leading warm-up activities and mindset games that stimulate creative thinking and break down barriers.
