An Evening full of Inspiration and Innovation

On January 23rd, the Winter Gala 2025 marked the end of the semester at Design Factory Stuttgart—and what a night it was! Five student teams had the chance to showcase their innovative ideas, creative prototypes, and bold solutions to an engaged audience. Thanks to the interactive nature of the presentations, guests were able to test the prototypes firsthand and immerse themselves in the perspectives of different user groups.

A highlight of the evening was the inspiring keynote by Ivy Kabura Nganga (Federal Chancellor Fellow of the Alexander Humboldt Foundation, guest researcher at IAT, University of Stuttgart). In her talk, "The Power of the Creative Toolkit", she explored how creativity can drive innovation and problem-solving across different disciplines. Her insights sparked meaningful discussions and encouraged guests to embrace a more open and experimental mindset.

But that was just the beginning! Beyond the semester projects, there was much more to explore: Visitors could dive into the world of future skills, learn more about the Design Factory approach, and experience the Design Thinking process in an interactive workshop. Additionally, those seeking personal and professional growth could participate in an Ikigai workshop, discovering how this Japanese concept can help align passions, skills, and purpose for a fulfilling career and life. Hands-on enthusiasts also had the opportunity to take part in an Scrum workshop, where they developed prototypes for the future of mobility.

Between all these inspiring experiences, there was still plenty of time for networking, exchanging ideas, and enjoying delicious crêpes.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made this evening truly special. Here’s to many more creative collaborations in the future—see you at the Summer Gala 25!
