ARENA2036

ARENA2036 is one of nine research campi of the funding initiative "Research Campus – Public-Private Partnership for Innovations" in Germany. ARENA2036 is supported by the  Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and is run as a registered association with members from science and industry. ARENA2036 members are active in various disciplines – from the automotive industry, aerospace technology, textile and materials research to industrial science. The Design Factory Stuttgart is not only located at the research campus, but is also supported and driven by ARENA2036.

DFGN.R conference

The DFGN.R conference "Design for multiplicity" hosted by the Middle East Technical University in Ankara was a great chance to exchange thoughts with creative minds from all over the world. Janna had the pleasure to present our paper "Mindset Muscle Training - fostering the Design Thinking Mindset in organizations" that was even selected for the conference's "AHA 💡 MOMENT AWARD".

What's New?

Our team

Scarlett is Head of Design Factory Stuttgart and responsible for the strategic development as well as the expansion of Design Factory Stuttgart. Together with her team and stakeholders, she is constantly co-creating new formats and loves to strengthen the success of teams and projects through individual workshops and coaching. She has a technical background in aerospace engineering and technology management. Her Design Thinking competence has been certified by the Hasso Plattner Institute and she is a trained change manager as well as an organizational developer.

Scarlett Spiegeler Castañeda

Head of Design Factory Stuttgart & Design Thinking Coach

David is Program Lead of Design Factory Stuttgart and responsible for the execution and strategic development of formats at the intersection of student and industry collaboration. As a certified Scrum Master (PSM 1), he methodically leads teams and connects agile frameworks and methodologies with projects at the ARENA2036 research campus. David holds a PhD in Medical Physics / Biophotonics from the Medical University of Vienna, where he worked on optical imaging for intraoperative tumor detection. From his further work as research coordinator of ARENA2036 he brings strategic ideas and concepts to Design Factory Stuttgart.
